True vs False Unity

False unity in a church is really easy. All you have to do to create false unity is create a culture of avoidance. Avoid confrontation of sin, avoid theological conviction, and avoid biblical community and “unity” happens. But what of true unity? True unity can happen when the Gospel is central and the Gospel is loved. Then we can confront sin and be confronted. Then we can seek to understand each other theologically. Then we can have true biblical community.
