Esther 7:6 “And Haman said to himself, “Whom would the king delight to honor more than me?”
Haman’s heart is the story of every human heart. The book of Esther gives us a window into just how deep depravity really is. The human heart cannot fathom a scenario in which it would not be honored. At the core of our very being is the belief “I deserve”. The irony that ensues in the book of Esther is that Mordecai receives what Haman think’s he himself deserves.
When someone meets Jesus the human heart gets changed. If you are a believer in Jesus then you have come to the point of revelation, you were just like Haman. But no longer! The Holy Spirit has breathed life into you and now you know that even though you have behaved like Haman, God counted you as Mordecai! So from now on instead of living to the glory of our name we live to the honor and glory of Jesus name!
