Send and Receive Sheep Rather than Steal Sheep

April 7, 2015 by Jared Sparks Leave a Comment

Eph 6:21 “Tychicus the beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord will tell you everything. I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are, and that he may encourage your hearts.”

Phil 2:19 “I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, so that I too may be cheered by news of you.”

Col 4:7-9 “Tychicus will tell you all about my activities. He is a beloved brother and faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord. I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are and that he may encourage your hearts, and with him Onesimus, our faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you.”

2 Tim 4:11-12 “Luke alone is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is very useful to me for ministry. Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus.”

1 Cor 16:12 “Now concerning our brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to visit you with the other brothers, but it was not at all his will to come now. He will come when he has opportunity.

It’s not always “Sheep stealing”. Pastor, there are some of your people who need to be released and sent to another church for the glory of Jesus and their own good. Pastor, you probably have some “Mark’s” out there. Call them up. Ask them to come and help. They may say no like Apollos, but it does not hurt to ask. Sometimes its not about “Stealing” but about sending and receiving joy!
