1 John 3:2-3
Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure. ESV
Look at the words “because we shall see him as he is”. This passage clearly shows us that seeing Jesus as He is carries with it the power to change the one that sees into the likeness of the Object that is seen. Verse 3 then is an implication of that reality and says that purity comes by hoping in Christ. Are you one of millions of people around the world who have trouble understanding how to grow as a Christian? Are you one of the millions that have find it so hard to understand Gospel-Centered sanctification? These 2 verses should help with that. I pray that God will grant you the ability to SEE!
