When I am home, I am happy. I love my home and the peace that I feel when I am there. If you are like me being “Home” has a tangible feeling that comes with it. Peace, joy, rest, challenge, sanctifying confrontation, work, pleasure, leisure, and so many more words that are associated with “Home”. So how about your church home?
I have experienced church “Home” like this before. To be a part of a church that feels tangibly like home is an incredible gift. In your church family are you at peace? Does being a part of your local church bring joy, rest, challenge, sanctifying confrontation, work, pleasure, leisure all flowing out of the root called the Gospel of Jesus? If not, let me challenge you to ask this question; “Is this my church home?”. If the answer is no then it is okay to connect where you want to connect. What church would be home? Go there.
In a church culture world that is terrified of so called “Sheep-Stealing” we sometimes are afraid to ask those kinds of questions to ourselves and to members of other churches. I have found that many people confuse true loyalty with a false concept of loyalty and stay duty bound to churches they need to leave. Our church has willing let members go to other churches to help and to be a part of a church they want to be a part of. I pray other churches would do the same with their members. Every Christian church in the world is my blood bought family but not all local congregations are my home. Jordan and I are at home at CCF. We love our church family. I am experiencing what experienced in the church I grew up in, and it is awesome. So let me ask you “Are you home?”
