10 Easy Catechism Questions for Kids

Q 1: “Who is Jesus Christ?”
A: “Jesus Christ is Lord.”

Romans 10:9, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Philippians 2:10-11, “At the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Q 2: “Why did Jesus come?”
A: “Jesus came to save sinners.”

1 Timothy 1:15, “The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.”

Q 3: “Are there more gods than one?”
A: “There is one living and true God.”

Deuteronomy 6:4, Mark 12:29, “Hear O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.”

1 Timothy 2:5, “There is one God, and there is one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus.”

Q 4: “What is the word of God?”
A: “The Bible is the word of God.”

2 Timothy 3:16, “All Scripture is breathed out by God…”

Q 5: “How did God create man?”
A: “God created man in His own image.”

Genesis 1:27, “God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him, male and female he created them.”

Q 6: “What is sin?”
A: “Sin is breaking the law of God.”

1 John 3:4, “Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.”

Q 7: “Who has sinned?”
A: “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.”

Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.”

Q 8: “What do we deserve for our sin?”
A: “We deserve to die for our sins.”

Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Q 9: “How can we be saved from our sins?”
A: “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.”

Acts 16:31, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.”

John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but will have eternal life.”

Q 10: “What is our ultimate purpose?”
A: “To love God and obey His commandments.”

Ecclesiastes 12:13, “Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.”

John 14:15, Jesus said, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.”
