Obbie is pastor of the Church at Haynes Creek in Oxford, Georgia and adjunct professor of theology at Luther Rice College & Seminary in Lithonia, Georgia. Obbie enjoys reading American religious history, watching Netflix with his wife, and running outside…when it’s not cold. He has been published in several academic journals and his book The Moral Governmental Theory of Atonement: Re-Envisioning Penal Substitution will be published by Cascade Books in 2020. Obbie will also be contributing chapters in two forthcoming works through Wipf & Stock and Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht on the American Puritan Jonathan Edwards.
