My favorite show on TV (Netflix) is the AMC show\u00a0Turn.\u00a0<\/em>My curiosity of the show lead me to the internet to find out more about the true story of George Washington’s spy ring. One click lead to another, as Wikipedia<\/em> always does, and I was reading about Major John Andre of the British Army. I found out, John Andre was converted just two days before he died. After his death, a poem was found in his coat pocket called\u00a0The Hiding Place.\u00a0<\/em>The hymn was mistakenly credited to Andre as the author. In fact, it was published four years before my a man named Jehoida Brewer with the actual title being\u00a0Hail, Sovereign Love.\u00a0<\/em>John Andre quoted the hymn from memory and held it to his chest as he hung from the gallows. The content is so good I am compelled to share it.<\/p>\n

Hail, sovereign love, which first began
\nThe scheme to rescue fallen man!
\nHail, matchless, free, eternal grace,
\nThat gave my soul a Hiding Place!<\/p>\n

Against the God who built the sky
\nI fought with hands uplifted high,
\nDespised the mention of His grace,
\nToo proud to seek a Hiding Place.<\/p>\n

Enwrapt in thick Egyptian night,
\nAnd fond of darkness more than light,
\nMadly I ran the sinful race,
\nSecure without a Hiding Place.<\/p>\n

But thus the eternal counsel ran:
\n“Almighty love, arrest that man!”
\nI felt the arrows of distress,
\nAnd found I had no hiding place.<\/p>\n

Indignant justice stood in view.
\nTo Sinai\u2019s fiery mount I flew;
\nBut justice cried, with frowning face:
\n“This mountain is no hiding place”.<\/p>\n

Ere long a heavenly voice I heard,
\nAnd Mercy\u2019s angel soon appeared;
\nHe led me with a placid pace
\nTo Jesus, as a Hiding Place.<\/p>\n

On Him almighty vengeance fell,
\nWhich must have sunk a world to hell.
\nHe bore it for a sinful race,
\nAnd thus became their Hiding Place.<\/p>\n

Should sevenfold storms of thunder roll,
\nAnd shake this globe from pole to pole,
\nNo thunderbolt shall daunt my face,
\nFor Jesus is my Hiding Place.<\/p>\n

A few more setting suns at most,
\nShall land me on fair Canaan\u2019s coast,
\nWhere I shall sing the song of grace,
