These is my notes from a sermon I preached last night. May not make a ton of sense, but I thought I would post them anyways. <\/div>\n

Colossians 2:1-7<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The Centrality of the Christ of All Treasures  <\/div>\n
Intro: Colossians: Hey Church, Christ is Awesome <\/div>\n
<\/span>– Let me tell you about Jesus<\/div>\n
<\/span>– The Holy Spirit through Paul is Glorifying the Son Jesus Christ<\/div>\n
<\/span>– Paul wants hearts captivated by Christ, not by the law. <\/div>\n
Vs 1-2 Paul’s Struggle\/Desire for the Churches <\/div>\n
<\/span>– Heart’s encouraged: <\/div>\n
<\/span>– By being knit together in love<\/div>\n
<\/span>– To\/So reach all<\/div>\n
<\/span>– Mind Full assurance of understanding and knowledge<\/div>\n
<\/span>– God’s mystery, which is Christ?  <\/div>\n
<\/span>– The church isn’t currently there. <\/div>\n
<\/span>– The church knows Christ, but they are not captivated by Him. <\/div>\n
Vs 3 The Shoreline of Treasures <\/div>\n
<\/span>– In Whom <\/div>\n
<\/span>– Beach, Metal Detector and Discovering Treasures<\/div>\n
<\/span>– ALL Treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ<\/div>\n
Treasures as well look Within Jesus the Greatest Treasure<\/div>\n
<\/span>– Unconditional love<\/div>\n
<\/span>– Eternal Joy: He is the Greatest Treasure<\/div>\n
<\/span>– Courageous obedience<\/div>\n
<\/span>– Sacrifice for others<\/div>\n
<\/span>– Double Union <\/div>\n
<\/span>– Sanctifying Power<\/div>\n
<\/span>– Unifying Power: Christ makes a family near and far<\/div>\n
Vs 4-5 Deluded by Plausible Distractions from Christ<\/div>\n
<\/span>– Christ but: Politics, Church Methods, My Preferences, Children<\/div>\n
<\/span>– The promise of other shores<\/div>\n
<\/span>– Many people: Christ is not enough, look over here. <\/div>\n
<\/span>– Have you been duped?<\/div>\n
<\/span>– What gets you the most excited in life? Jesus or something else?<\/div>\n
Vs 6-7 Therefore Because of that Christ is Central <\/div>\n
<\/span>– Walk as you received: by Faith in Christ<\/div>\n
<\/span>– Received: Christ was all\/Central<\/div>\n
<\/span>– Walk: Christ is all\/Central<\/div>\n
<\/span>– Result? Rooted\/Built Up\/Established<\/div>\n
<\/span>– Abounding in Thanksgiving. <\/div>\n
Christ as Central brings<\/div>\n
<\/span>– Everyday thankful<\/div>\n
<\/span>– Nothing to thank yourself for. <\/div>\n
        – Peace, Joy, purpose<\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
