John 3:1-15 “You Must be Born Again”<\/b><\/div>\n
Intro: Good to be back! <\/b><\/div>\n

<\/b><\/div>\n
The Gospel for the Religious is the same Gospel for the Harlot. <\/b><\/div>\n
                                                                                                                   <\/u><\/b><\/div>\n
Vs 1: Who is Nicodemus? <\/b><\/div>\n
\n
    \n
  • Pharisee and Ruler. Requires rigorous work. Formal education. <\/li>\n
  • Loves the law of God and the traditions of the people of God.<\/li>\n
  • Succeed in life. Revered by the People. <\/li>\n
  • Probably Older <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Vs 2: The Scholar goes to the Carpenter : Humble<\/b><\/div>\n

    \n
      \n
    • Jesus did not come from the “Right” city.<\/li>\n
    • Not from a well to do family.<\/li>\n
    • Not formally trained.  <\/b> <\/li>\n
    • Yet preached and ministered with unprecedented power! <\/li>\n
    • And Nicodemus is even humble. He calls him Rabbi. <\/li>\n
    • Nicodemus knows Jesus is from God. <\/li>\n
    • If Jesus would be impressed with anyone it’s Nic. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      Vs 3-4: Jesus Response and Nic’s Question <\/b><\/div>\n
      \n
        \n
      • Jesus does not commend Nicodemus. <\/li>\n
      • Jesus is not impressed <\/li>\n
      • Jesus tells Nic he needs something that is impossible for Nic to do. <\/li>\n
      • Nic can’t make himself be born again. <\/li>\n
      • How can I do this? <\/li>\n
      • He cant! <\/li>\n
      • Nicodemus. You can’t save yourself! <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Vs 5-8: Jesus Further Clarifies <\/b><\/div>\n

          \n
        • Like you were born physically. You must be born of the Spirit. <\/li>\n
        • Ransom birth. My birth.<\/b><\/li>\n
        • Do not marvel. You and Your group must be born again. <\/li>\n
        • The Spirit is like the wind. We don’t know who the Spirit will bring to life. <\/li>\n
        • Nicodemus you can’t make yourself born again. Only the Spirit can do this! <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Vs 9-13: How can this be! <\/b><\/div>\n
          \n
            \n
          • Nicodemous disagrees with Jesus. <\/li>\n
          • It is impossible for anyone to be born again. How can this be?!<\/li>\n
          • Jesus tells Nic I am right on this buddy. You say I am from God but don’t believe me. <\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
            Vs 14-15: Not How too but… How He.   <\/b><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

              \n
            • Believe in Christ! <\/li>\n
            • This means not believing in self. <\/li>\n
            • We don’t have faith in our faith. <\/li>\n
            • Don’t ever look back to your decision to follow Jesus. Look to Jesus. <\/li>\n
            • We believe because of Him. <\/li>\n
            • He gets credit for it all. <\/li>\n
            • Nicodemus believed in himself. How could he believe in Jesus?<\/span>    <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
