How To Approach God: Law and Gospel <\/span><\/span>
Intro: Law and Gospel <\/span><\/span>
Saved by grace kept by law? <\/span><\/span>
Most everyone knows we are not saved by works, but many think we are kept by works. <\/span><\/span>
Is your status with God based on your performance? <\/span><\/span>
Is God mad or disappointed in you? <\/span><\/span>
How can you know you are right with God? <\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span>Vs 1: Grace Pointer: Hearing is better than false sacrifice <\/span><\/span>
House of God? Covenantal Change<\/span><\/span>
God’s presence with an open ear is better than being “Busy for God”  <\/span><\/span>
Solomon pointing us beyond  <\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span>Vs 2-5 The Law  <\/span><\/span>
Do not speak before thinking<\/span><\/span>
Even your heart…. Don’t be quick to question God. <\/span><\/span>
God is God and you are not. <\/span><\/span>
Do what you tell God you are going to do. <\/span><\/span>
Problem? We are Quick Talkers and or Vow Breakers <\/span><\/span>
Biblically and Experientially we know we utterly fail at the law. <\/span><\/span>
Even as Christians with the Holy Spirit we still fall miserably short. <\/span><\/span>
Matt 22:34-39 Love God Love Others <\/span><\/span>
Rom 7:7 “What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin.”<\/span><\/span>
The Law always shows us our sinfulness.<\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span>The Gospel <\/span>
Matt 5:17-20 Christ Fulfilled the Law <\/span><\/span>
Until All Is Accomplished <\/span><\/span>
5:48 Perfection Required <\/span><\/span>
Hebrews 10:1-14<\/span><\/span>
Vs 1 Law can’t make perfect<\/span><\/span>
Vs 11 Daily sins. The law can’t help. <\/span><\/span>
Vs 14 FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!<\/span><\/span>
Gal 2:15-21 Today is about Christ in Me. Never leave Christ<\/span><\/span>
– Stands by faith not by law<\/span><\/span>
 Jesus is the Answer of Ecclesiastes  <\/span><\/span>
Everything under the sun is meaningless. <\/span><\/span>
Only eternal things satisfy. <\/span><\/span>
Our work for God falls short. <\/span><\/span>
God’s work for us changes everything. <\/span><\/span>
The Gospel Changes Everything <\/span><\/span>
Jesus is the great vow keeper. <\/span><\/span>
He has not failed the Father. <\/span><\/span>
Jesus never spoke hastily through mouth or in heart. <\/span><\/span>
