“Jesus and the Woman at the Well”<\/b><\/div>\n

<\/b><\/div>\n
Intro: Is Anyone To Far To Be Saved?<\/b><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Some believe God shakes in his boots when they come around. <\/span><\/li>\n
  • God is not scared of you. He knows more than what other people know of you. <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Some Christians believe that there are some groups that are too far. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Vs 1-6 The Sovereign Mission <\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
    \n
      \n
    • Vs 4 He Had To pass.  <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Vs 8 Jesus sends All the disciples away. “For food” <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Vs 32-34 This is a set up<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Other routes. The strict Jews would by-pass Samaria<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Jesus to Sychar and to Galilee and then right back to Jerusalem <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      Vs 7-9 The Unlikely Target<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

        \n
      • The Woman came at noon. <\/span><\/li>\n
      • Nic<\/span><\/b> <\/span>was a rich Jews, high class, sought Jesus out, Jewish religious leader, humble, a man. He needed Jesus<\/span><\/li>\n
      • The Woman at the well<\/span><\/b>, <\/span>Samaritan<\/span>, low class, immoral, a woman.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • \n
          \n
        • Talking with her hurts Jesus reputation. <\/span><\/li>\n
        • If Jesus talks with her, he is breaking cultural rules like crazy! <\/span><\/li>\n
        • The religious “Bad company corrupts good morals Jesus! You know what she has done, what she is doing, who she is?”<\/span><\/li>\n
        • “Yeah that’s why I am not hanging with you!” <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
        • Jesus talks to her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          Vs 10-12 Jesus Uses External and Temporal to Point to Internal and Eternal. <\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

          • Just like with Nic. Jesus confuses this lady. <\/span><\/li>\n
          • What are you talking about Sir??<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
            Vs 13-14 The All-Satisfying Jesus <\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
            \n
              \n
            • If you drink of me. You will never thirst. <\/span><\/li>\n
            • I satisfy you. Forever. <\/span><\/li>\n
            • In Jesus you have an endless supply of satisfaction. <\/span><\/li>\n
            • He satisfies all your thirsts and makes you thirsty for more. <\/span><\/li>\n
            • Jer 2:13<\/b> <\/span>“<\/b>For my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that can hold no water.” <\/span><\/li>\n

              • “God does not satisfy us. We will go on a search for what does!”<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                Vs 15-18 Confusion to Reality <\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
                \n
                  \n
                • vs 15 Like Nic, she still is thinking physical. She has no clue.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Jesus exposes her “Broken Cisterns”. <\/span><\/li>\n
                • Jesus confronts this woman with her sin. <\/span><\/li>\n
                • Jesus shows her her insanity. <\/span><\/li>\n
                • Jesus knows everything about this woman and He is not scared!<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n
                • \n
                    \n
                  • 5 Husbands<\/span><\/li>\n
                  • Live in Boyfriend<\/span><\/li>\n
                  • Social outcast! <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                  • Here is a man who fully knows her and will never mistreat her. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                    Vs 19-25 Place or Person? External or Internal?  <\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
                    \n
                      \n
                    • This is not about place! This mountian or that. <\/span><\/li>\n
                    • This is not about external. <\/span><\/li>\n
                    • God is looking for those who will worship is spirit and truth. <\/span><\/li>\n
                    • Spirit<\/b>: “Supernatural” not physical place<\/span><\/li>\n
                    • Truth<\/b>: Will worship Jesus for who he is. Not who we want him to be. <\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                      Vs 26 Jesus is The Messiah <\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
                      \n
                        \n
                      • Jesus reveals himself as the Messiah to this woman first! <\/span><\/li>\n
                      • This changes everything for her. <\/span><\/li>\n
                      • In Spite of who she is and what she has done. In spite of her lack of understanding. Jesus shows her who He is! <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                        Vs 27-42: A Transformed Woman <\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
                        \n
                          \n
                        • Disciples are shocked! <\/span><\/li>\n
                        • Vs 28 She left the very thing she came for. Went back into town with something else. <\/span><\/li>\n
                        • Vs 29 Come to a man that told me my sin! Can this be?<\/span><\/li>\n
                        • Imperfect evangelism. <\/span><\/li>\n
                        • Vs 39 Effective evangelism. <\/span><\/li>\n
                        • Jesus work transformed this woman. The people listened to the “Whore” of Sychar What Now<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
