Hello, and welcome to another edition of “Links I Like,” a weekly collection of links and stories that impacted me in some way during the past week. Let’s get right to it!
Words from a hymn by Martin Luther.
Have you ever really thought about how crazy your salvation is? You may have never thought of it in those terms, but truly, your redemption and rescue from eternal damnation is a jarring truth, one that should spawn tears of joy and shouts of praise. It’s baffling that such a salvation is proffered for those who are bona fide criminals. What a wonder that such a redemption would be established for vile delinquents such as we are!
The Bible is filled to the brim with amazing portraits of God’s grace. All throughout its pages, God desires to reveal Himself as the sole, sovereign Savior and you as the destitute and desperate sinner. Our God delights in saving the wretches and wrecks like you and me because He wants us to see is that we should “never dare to doubt the possibility of your being forgiven.”
